Description

Inspired by Botticelli's revered painting, Fortezza, These earrings from our collection embody the essence of the virtue depicted in the painting - Fortitude, a harmonious blend of strength and grace.

The light earrings feature a delicate hoop design, from which a rectangular charm dangles gracefully. This charm, adorned with textured gold ripples, echoes the flowing robes of the central figure in the painting and is accentuated by a green Amethyst Quartz, a gentle nod to the natural world's enduring beauty.

"Fortezza," created in 1470 and housed in the Galleria degli Uffizi in Florence, Italy, was the first recorded masterpiece by Botticelli. The painting portrays Fortitude as a woman of grace and strength, her gaze turned down yet vigilant, overseeing the other virtues depicted in the series. Her red robe, elegantly draped, symbolizes the passionate strength required to overcome adversity, creating a beautiful contrast with her metallic armour, which hints at both delicacy and bravery.
